Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor Reunite, Spark New Collaboration Buzz with Viral Traditional Look
Ishan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor: Actor Ishaan Khatter delighted fans on Friday by sharing a photo with his "Dhadak" co-star Janhvi Kapoor. The photo brought back memories of their on-screen chemistry.
Ishaan uploaded an image and mentioned that sometimes meetings fly by in a flash. It was a clue that he is collaborating with Janhvi once more, but he has not disclosed whether they are working together on any project or advertisement.
The photo shows that both of them are wearing traditional attire. Ishaan is wearing an ivory sherwani along with a turban in the same shade, while Janhvi looks gorgeous in maroon colored, heavily embroidered lehenga. The two are seen posing while sitting on the stairs, holding each other's hands.
Ishaan wrote in the caption, "Some reunions feel like no time has passed!"
This reunion reminded fans of their 2018 film "Dhadak." This film marked Janhvi Kapoor's first Bollywood film as a lead actress, in which she appeared opposite Ishaan.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, "Dhadak" was produced by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures. The film was a Hindi remake of the Marathi superhit "Sairat," which was released in 2016.
"Dhadak" was released on July 20, 2018, just months after the death of Janhvi's mother, legendary actress Sridevi. Sridevi passed away in February 2018.
Ishaan and Janhvi's chemistry in the film was well-received, and the pair became one of the most talked-about new on-screen couples of the year.
Their friendship continues to this day, and they are often seen together at events and public appearances. They last appeared together in Neeraj Ghaywan's film "Homebound," which also starred Vishal Jethwa.
"Dhadak" was Ishaan Khatter's first film as a solo lead. He previously made his acting debut in 2017 with Iranian director Majid Majidi's film "Beyond the Clouds."
Ishaan previously appeared as a child artist in the 2005 film "Wah! Life Ho To Aisi!"
