Kalki Koechlin Reveals Sleepless Nights After Painful Breakup, Shares Emotional Struggle

Kalki Koechlin, an actress, described a period in her life when she went through a lot emotionally. She mentioned that a heartbreak left her sleepless for many months.
She realized that all the tension had a physical impact on her body. It helped her realize how interlinked the mind and body are.
Recalling that difficult period, Kalki admitted on the "All About Her" podcast, "I couldn't sleep for months because of the heartbreak, and it made me realize how psychological it all is."
She further said, "I couldn't sleep at all. I would wake up at 2 or 3 in the morning and play the guitar or do something else to keep myself busy, because there was no way I could go back to sleep."
The actress didn't reveal her partner's name, but admitted that the breakup had a profound impact on her daily life. The prolonged lack of sleep eventually began to affect Kalki's professional life as well.
She explained, "On days when I had to work, I remember feeling like I was dreaming or awake. I was really confused, wondering if this was really happening or if I was still asleep." This continued for about four months. Although Kalki didn't specify which relationship she was referring to, her most famous previous relationship was with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
The two met while working on Dev.D and later married in 2011, but separated in 2013. Their divorce was finalized two years later.
