Dhanush Wins Tamil Nadu State Award for ‘Vada Chennai’, Actor Expresses Gratitude

Dhanush's movie, "Vada Chennai," was released in 2018. This was a crime drama movie that was appreciated by the audience. Recently, it was announced that the movie would receive the Tamil Nadu State Award. Dhanush shared a post on social media thanking the government for the award.

Dhanush shared a Twitter post on Thursday night, writing, "I sincerely thank the Government of Tamil Nadu for conferring upon me the State Award for Vada Chennai. It is a true honor. My heartfelt congratulations to all the other awardees as well." It is an honor for me to receive this award, and I extend my heartiest congratulations to all other awardees as well.

The Tamil Nadu state government announced the State Film Awards for the period between 2016 and 2022 on Thursday. Apart from Dhanush, other actors such as Vijay Sethupathi, Surya, Arya, Vikram Prabhu, Karthi, and Parthiban have been selected as the Best Actors. Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Jyothika, Aparna Balamurali, Lijomol Jose, and Sai Pallavi have been selected as the Best Actresses.

The Tamil Nadu State Awards ceremony will be held on February 13 at 4:30 pm at the Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai. The Deputy Chief Minister will present the awards to the winners at the event.
