Salim Khan Health Update: Amidst his father Salim Khan's treatment and regular hospital visits, Salman Khan did something that will make you proud of him. He is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film, "Battle of Galwan."
The health of the well-known scriptwriter Salim Khan (Salman Khan’s father) deteriorated suddenly. On February 17, he was admitted to the emergency room at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. The 90-year-old had a small brain bleed. He was initially placed on a ventilator and underwent a minor surgery the following day. According to the hospital, his health is stable now and he is slowly recovering. Salman has made a special decision because of his father’s health, which is what a good son would do for his father.
Salman's father, Salim Khan, has not fully recovered and is still under observation in the hospital. Due to his father's deteriorating health, Salman has decided to complete the shooting of his new film, "Battle of Galwan," at Mehboob Studio in Film City (Bandra), so he can visit his father from time to time. Mehboob Studio is very close to the hospital, so Salman can easily visit his father in between shoots.
In any case, Salman is currently shooting a major song for "Battle of Galwan," which will be completed soon. The shooting involves a large number of people, so Salman didn't want the work to stop, but his father's care is also essential. Therefore, changing the studio has allowed both projects to be managed. Salman remains in constant contact with doctors and family.
The film "Battle of Galwan" is based on the June 2020 Galwan Valley battle. Salman plays Param Vir Chakra winner Colonel B. Santosh Babu, who led the Indian troops at that time. The film is being directed by Apurva Lakhia. Originally scheduled for release on April 17, 2026, it is now reported that it may be postponed to August 2026. The filmmakers have not yet made any official statement on this. If the film is released in August, it could clash at the box office with Sunny Deol's Lahore 1947 (August 13, 2026). However, Salim Khan's health is improving, and Salman is balancing both sides.
