In a recent interview with Times Entertainment, Taapsee Pannu said, "By the time you establish yourself in the industry, you are already 30 years old." Then they say, "You're not young enough to work in romantic comedies." But that's not the case with male actors. Age discrimination is a big issue in the industry.
Taapsee Pannu further adds, "This used to happen to me in the South as well. As soon as I was cast opposite a senior actor, young actors wouldn't want to work with me." Referring to Bollywood, Taapsee says, "You wouldn't even dare say such a thing about Shah Rukh Khan." Thus, Taapsee reveals that age discrimination only happens to actresses; aging has no impact on the careers of male actors.
