Actor Dheeraj Kumar suffering from pneumonia, condition critical; admitted to hospital
Dheeraj Kumar Diagnosed with Pneumonia: The condition of Dheeraj Kumar, producer and director of many religious serials, is said to be critical. He has got pneumonia, due to which he has been admitted to the hospital.
Popular director, producer and actor Dheeraj Kumar was admitted in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on Monday. He has complained of pneumonia. Yet, his condition is critical. He is being kept on a ventilator in the ICU.
According to a report by IANS, Dheeraj Kumar has got pneumonia. His family and production team said that doctors are monitoring his condition and he is being given full medical treatment. The family prayed for his speedy recovery and asked people to respect their privacy.
Dheeraj Kumar entered the entertainment industry in 1965. He was a finalist in a talent show along with Subhash Ghai and Rajesh Khanna, in which Rajesh Khanna became the winner. Dheeraj worked in 21 Punjabi films from 1970 to 1984. He started a production company called Creative Eye, of which he is the chairman and managing director. The song 'Ka Karun Sajni, Aaye Na Balam' from the film 'Swami' was filmed on him. He also acted in films like 'Heera Panna' and 'Raton Ka Raja'. Recently, Dheeraj attended the inauguration of the ISKCON temple in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. He praised Prime Minister Modi's efforts to spread Sanatan Dharma. He said that he found peace by visiting the ISKCON temple and the love of the people there touched him a lot. Dheeraj Kumar has made serials like "Om Namah Shivay" and "Shri Ganesh".
