The latest edition of the Dhamaal series has seen the return of old actors such as Ajay Devgan, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Javed Jaffrey. New actors have also come onboard for this edition, including Sanjeeda Sheikh, an actress. Sanjeeda Sheikh has done action and comedy in Dhamaal 4. She talks about her experiences with Hindustan Times.
Prior to "Dhamaal 4," Sanjeeda hadn't done much comedy. She previously appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's serious period drama "Heeramandi." After this, she began to earn the tag of a "serious actress."
Sanjeeda said, "I got 'Dhamaal 4' because Indra sir called me after watching 'Heeramandi.' His first question was, 'You are a very serious actress,' because 'Heeramandi' was quite serious."
Sanjeeda explained that she asked the director to give her a chance so she could show her funny side. "I sat with him and he heard me laughing-I laugh a little differently-so he said, 'Okay.' And I was cast."
Sanjeeda's character in 'Dhamaal 4' features as much action as comedy. In several scenes, she was seen performing alongside major action stars.
She jokingly said, "Every scene of mine involved action. I was fooled. I was told to do comedy, but I was made to do action."
Sanjeeda explained that it became a joke on set that she was being made to perform action scenes where major action stars like Ajay Devgan were present. She said, "I'm telling the truth. Ajay Devgn was on set and I was being made to do all the action scenes. It became a joke on set."
"Dhamaal 4" also stars Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, and Esha Gupta. The film received mixed reviews from critics, but was well received by audiences. It grossed over ₹200 crore worldwide and was a box office hit.
