Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty shares a glimpse of her visit to the revered Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu as part of her Nepal diaries.
Mumbai, Aug 1 — Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, currently visiting Nepal, has shared a glimpse of her visit to the revered Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu.
In a social media post, Shetty appeared in a vibrant yellow traditional outfit, standing with folded hands in front of the temple. She captioned the image: “@pashupatinath temple #nepaldiaries.”
Pashupatinath Temple is dedicated to Pashupati, a manifestation of Shiva. Situated on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River in Kathmandu, it is one of the oldest and most significant religious complexes in South Asia. Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, the temple forms part of the seven monument groups within UNESCO’s designation of the Kathmandu Valley. The complex comprises 518 mini-temples surrounding the principal pagoda-style shrine.
