Some birthday wishes are formal. Orry's wish for Khushi Kapoor on Thursday, when she turned 26, was written in his usual playful, stretched-out style.
The social media personality posted a gallery for the 'Nadaaniyan' actress, and his caption read more like a fan letter than a standard greeting: "Happy birthday to my bifff my muse ma sole sista me algorithm me spotlight muh princes muhhh angel ma shaiining starrrrrr my cheerleadaaaaa my biggest supporter (Pink heart and wing emoticons) (sic)."
A Halloween throwback in the gallery
Some of the photos in Orry's post came from Halloween night just days earlier. Khushi dressed as Wonder Woman, and Orry wore a large bee costume. The pictures show why fans like this friendship: it is affectionate, a little silly and very visible online.
The two often appear together on social media and in paparazzi photos, and their friendship is one of the best-documented in Bollywood's younger crowd.
Orry and the Kapoor sisters
Orry's closeness with the family includes Khushi's older sister, Janhvi Kapoor. This Halloween, Janhvi paid tribute to their late mother, Sridevi, by recreating her look from the 1986 fantasy drama 'Nagina'. Orry joined in as the character Rishi Kapoor played in the film.
"Happy Halloweeeeeny (Ghost emoji) had to recreate one of the most iconic movie moments everrrrr (Snake, white heart and sparkles emoticons)," the 'Mili' actress wrote.
She explained the idea behind it: "So much of Halloween has become about dressing up as your favourite characters and pop culture moments. Sometimes they're spooky, sometimes they're funny, and sometimes it's a tribute (red heart emoji)… And who could possibly be more iconic than Mumma, Rishi uncle and Amrish sir!!"
Khushi's reaction to her sister's post was short: "You have won Halloween."
Why fans keep watching
For younger Bollywood stars, personal posts now matter almost as much as film releases. Moments like this birthday post or the 'Nagina' tribute keep them in the conversation between projects. They also link today's stars back to the earlier generation of Hindi cinema, as Janhvi's tribute did.
Khushi's career at 26
Khushi, the younger daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, made her Bollywood debut with 'The Archies' in 2023. She went on to star in 'Loveyapa' and 'Nadaaniyan' in 2025. She turns 26 with three releases behind her and a large online following.
