On third day of the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa a golden chapter was added to the Indian film industry. On Friday, the film trailer launch and master class were started on a floating cruise in the Mandovi River for the first time. The trailer of the feature film Terav was launched and a cruise named Rahi was chosen for this. Till now such events have been held abroad only.
With the support of the Indian Film Producers Association (IMPA), trailers of the films Hard Vishy, Chhabila, and Template will be launched in the next two days. This new beginning is likely to give a new dimension to Indian industry. A magnificent tableau was also taken out by IFFI on the coast of Goa. The tableau that went from INEX (Media Centre) to Miramar Beach presented a glimpse of the journey of Indian cinema and the culture of Goa.
Nag said this because his family of 20-odd people has joined in to carry out the dream of his father in cohesion. As a family, it nurtures the plants of the cinema studio and training institute planted by him. So, wherever anyone is, for ANR, the whole family comes together. He said his father used to say that Telugu cinema needs to achieve supremacy, so he is trying to make Telugu cinema popular by breaking the language barrier. However, he says that the language barrier in cinema has ended in the present times. Now, only Indian cinema is eternal. A short documentary based on the life of ANR was also presented on this occasion.
Film producer-director Vidhu Vinod Chopra told the story of songs, music, and struggle in a very different way, which fascinated the audience at the master class. Sharing his opinion on entertainment, education, and upliftment, he said these three principles are the goal of my life, which he follows.
With a special dialogue organized on the occasion of the centenary year of Telugu film legend Akkineni Nageswara Rao, popularly known as ANR, the third day of the 55th Film Festival kicked off this morning. His son Nagarjuna shared his vision combining cinema with technology, from making Telugu cinema of the highest order to keeping the family together.
Nagarjuna also certified that his father had only one aim and that was an integration of technology in cinema whereby both complement with each other. Probably this might be the reason why he was taught technology, better known as engineering, instead of training in films. So, for movies like RRR, which had to go all the way to Germany for Dolby, the country got its first Dolby in Hyderabad thanks to the Akkineni family, which has been counted as one of the 13 in the world.
