Bollywood actress Neena Gupta, who has been a part of the industry for four decades, has been known for her blunt and honest statements. Neena Gupta, who has been in the acting world for a long time, spoke about the not-so-glossy and more ink-filled pages of her life. She revealed an incident in an interview in which she had been abused and humiliated by a director on a film set, all because he needed money.
In an interview with the Times Now channel, Neena Gupta confessed that the experience was extremely painful. Gupta stated that she was subjected to harsh and abusive language by the director without any fault of hers. Recalling that period, she admitted that if circumstances had been different and there hadn't been financial pressure, she probably wouldn't have been a part of such a project. In her words, it wasn't circumstances, but rather necessity, that forced her to remain silent.
Neena not only spoke about the abuse, but also mentioned roles in her career that she regrets even today. She explained that her roles in some films were so limited and meaningless that after shooting, she would go home and pray to God that the film would never be released. Referring to one film, she said that her role in it was limited to standing in a gang, with no dialogue or identity.
