Recently, there were reports of a raid at her Mumbai home, as per some media reports, carried out by the Income Tax Department. These reports got a further push as Shilpa, along with husband Raj Kundra, is already accused of a fraud case to the tune of ₹60 crores. But now, a clear and sharp reaction has come from actress Shilpa Shetty.
Prashant Patil, the lawyer of Shilpa Shetty, has stated that the news about the Income Tax raid is completely misleading. According to Prashant Patil, there has not been an Income Tax raid on the Bollywood actress. Prashant Patil has clarified that the Income Tax verification that took place was the routine verification process.
According to the lawyer's statement, some people deliberately portrayed this routine investigation as a raid to link it to a case involving the Economic Offences Wing (EOW). He warned that legal action could be taken against those spreading such rumors. Shilpa Shetty also reiterated that no raid took place at her home and that such reports are completely baseless.
