Prashant Patil, the lawyer of Shilpa Shetty, has stated that the news about the Income Tax raid is completely misleading. According to Prashant Patil, there has not been an Income Tax raid on the Bollywood actress. Prashant Patil has clarified that the Income Tax verification that took place was the routine verification process.
According to the lawyer's statement, some people deliberately portrayed this routine investigation as a raid to link it to a case involving the Economic Offences Wing (EOW). He warned that legal action could be taken against those spreading such rumors. Shilpa Shetty also reiterated that no raid took place at her home and that such reports are completely baseless.
It is noteworthy that a Mumbai businessman has leveled serious allegations against Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. The businessman claims that approximately ₹60 crore was taken from him in the name of loans and investments, but the money was used for personal expenses instead of business expansion. This case is reportedly related to transactions between 2015 and 2023, and is currently being investigated by the Economic Offences Wing.
Meanwhile, another matter involving Shilpa Shetty has also drawn attention. Her Bengaluru restaurant, "Bastian," has been accused of violating regulations. Police allege that the restaurant was operating beyond its permitted hours, leading to the filing of an FIR. However, the investigation in this case is still ongoing and no final conclusion has been reached.
