Today, I chaired a meeting in Mumbai regarding the Paani Foundation's Pan-Maharashtra Farmer Cup. Various climate research institutes have indicated that this year may see the impact of 'El Niño'. Therefore, water conservation plans should be made based on the assumption that the state will receive only about 80 percent of normal rainfall. Based on the experience of the Paani Foundation's previous work, I am confident that this year, through the Foundation's initiatives, farmers and rural people will once again become more aware of water conservation."
