Central Board of Film Certification Denies Leak Allegations of Jana Nayagan, Calls Claims ‘Baseless’

The issue regarding the alleged leaking of the Tamil film 'Jana Nayagan', starring Thalapathy Vijay, continues. Following the alleged leak, there have been accusations against the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). There have also been speculations indicating the CBFC as the source of the leak. But the CBFC has issued an official statement refuting the allegations against it.
In a statement, the Board said, "Reports that the Tamil film 'Jana Nayagan' has been leaked from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) are baseless and false. Access to the content is password-protected, and the KDM remains solely with the producer/filmmaker. Without a valid KDM, the film cannot be accessed or viewed. The digital cinema package for 'Jana Nayakan' was handed over to the applicant in Mumbai on March 17th. It has been in their possession since then.
The film 'Jana Nayakan' made headlines after some scenes from the film were allegedly leaked online. Several film personalities, including Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth, and Kamal Haasan, reacted to the matter and spoke out against piracy.
The makers issued an official statement urging people not to watch or share any leaked content. The production house stated that portions of the film, and in some cases, almost the entire film, had been illegally circulated online. They also stated that strict legal action is being taken in this matter.
'Jana Nayakan' has already faced delays due to certification issues. The film was originally slated to release on January 9th, coinciding with Pongal. Fans are now awaiting further updates on its release.
