Following the names of Kiara Advani, Aneeth Padda, and Sara Arjun, there comes another actress who might lead the cast. After Bollywood, now there are rumors of a South Indian actress playing Madhubala.
A day ago, news broke that "Dhurandhar 2" actress Sara Arjun had been approached to play the lead role in the film. However, an exclusive source told Zoom that a South Indian actress has been approached for the role. The actress is none other than "Loka Chapter 1" actress Kalyani Priyadarshan.
A reliable industry source told Zoom that Kalyani Priyadarshan, not Sara Arjun, has been approached to play Madhubala. The source further explained that the producers of this film, which aims to pay a grand tribute to one of Indian cinema's most popular actresses, are very keen to cast Kalyani after the success of "Loka."
Jasmeet K. Reen will direct the biopic of Bollywood's beautiful actress Madhubala. He previously directed the film "Darlings" starring Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, and Vijay Varma. According to the source, Kalyani Priyadarshan's growing popularity, her innocence, and her on-screen charm make her a perfect fit for the project.
Kalyani is the daughter of veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan. She made her acting debut in 2017 with the film "Hello" opposite Akhil Akkineni. She has since appeared in films such as "Chitralahari," "Ranarangam," "Varane Avashyamund," "Maanadu," "Thallumala," and "Varshangalkku Sesham." However, Kalyani's breakthrough came with last year's film "Loka: Chapter 1." This box office success made her popular not only in the South but also in the North.
