Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon single-handedly fought Pakistani jet attacks on Srinagar Airfield during the 1971 war. He defended Mother India by repelling six Pakistani fighter jets. Diljit has portrayed the role of martyr Nirmaljit beautifully in the film.
