Ranveer Singh is going to shake up his list of movies. Ranveer Singh will star in a film based on the Shiva trilogy (Immortals of Meluha series) written by an award-winning author. In this film, Ranveer will portray Lord Shiva.
According to media reports, Ranveer will be seen playing the role of Lord Shiva in a film based on the book 'The Immortals of Meluha.' Ranveer has acquired the rights to 'The Immortals of Meluha' through his production company Maa Kasam Films.
This book and its two sequels tell the story of a Himalayan warrior in the ancient kingdom of Meluha. Ranveer plans to develop this story as a trilogy of three major films in collaboration with Birla Studios.
Ranveer has long wanted to bring this story to the big screen. The entire team is working on the script. Shooting for the first film is expected to begin in 2028. Currently, details of the project are being kept secret, and the director hasn't been finalized. Once the script is ready, the director will be chosen.
The Immortals of Meluha is the first book in the Shiva trilogy by Amish Tripathi released in 2010. It is about a humble Himalayan warrior named Shiva who comes to the kingdom of Meluha. The story is a mixture of mythology, history and fantasy. This book was followed by The Secret of the Nagas and The Oath of the Vayuputras. The three books became India's best-selling series with over 2.5 million copies sold to date.
