Vedang Raina Promotes Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga, Addresses Viral Claims
Vedang Raina: Vedang Raina has clarified rumors about his method acting in "Jigra." Find out what he truly revealed...
Vedang Raina is going to act in Imtiaz Ali's film "Main Wapas Aaunga." He is currently doing a promotion for the movie. Recently, Vedang Raina had an interview with Alia Bhatt regarding his film "Jigra" and also clarified the gossip about the use of method acting in the film.
In a recent interview with Curly Tales, Vedang was asked about rumors about his method of acting during the preparation of his previous film, "Jigra." Responding to rumors that he locked himself in a room for eight days while preparing for a scene in "Jigra," Vedang said that these claims are exaggerated and completely different from what happened on set.
Nothing of that sort happened. The actor clarified that one day during the shoot was extremely challenging. While understanding his acting process, Vedang isolated himself in his vanity van, turning off the lights.
During this time, he didn't even speak to anyone for a period of time to reach the emotional state required for the scene. However, rumors of him locking himself in a room for eight days as part of method acting were not true. I will never do that again.
"Jigra," directed by Vasan Bala, was an action-thriller. Vedang Raina played Alia Bhatt's brother in the film. Released in 2014, the film was not a box office success.
Vedang will next be seen in Imtiaz Ali's "Main Wapas Aaunga." Set against the backdrop of Partition, this love story also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari, and Naseeruddin Shah. The film will be released in theaters on June 12th.
