From War 2 to Pathaan 2: Junior NTR’s Role in YRF Spy Universe Expands

Ranveer Singh's spy thriller ‘Dhurandhar’ is also making headlines presently at the box office. Along with that, talks are also initiated for Yash Raj Films' spy universe movie ‘Pathan 2’. Recently, news about ‘Pathan 2’ being produced in the presence of Shah Rukh Khan garnered media attention. Then, a buzz has also started for Shah Rukh Khan's new movie. This news is also increasing fans' eagerness for ‘Pathan 2’.

A report by SaccNilk claims that Junior NTR, a new addition to the spy universe, will also appear in Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathan 2." There are rumors that Junior NTR is being considered for "Pathan 2." There is talk that Junior NTR's role in the film will be more than just a cameo. He will either play a parallel lead or a dangerous villain in this Shah Rukh Khan-starrer. Apparently, Junior NTR entered the spy universe with the film "War 2," released earlier this year. In this Hrithik Roshan film, Junior NTR played a negative role. This sequel is being considered a significant film in the spy universe, gradually building towards a major conflict similar to Endgame. The film's vision is said to be much larger than the previous film.

Junior NTR played Vikram in "War 2." The film's climax shows Vikram, along with Kabir (Hrithik Roshan), taking on the challenge of protecting India from enemies, making him an integral part of this spy universe. Now, there are rumors that Jr. NTR will play Vikram in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Pathan 2." Reports claim that Aditya Chopra is currently in talks with Jr. NTR. Shooting is expected to begin in 2026, with a planned theatrical release in 2027. However, no official announcement has been made by the makers regarding "Pathan 2" yet.

The previous film in the spy universe, "War 2," released this year, was a massively successful film that failed to achieve the box office success the makers had hoped for. The film was considered a flop and was also criticized by critics. The next film in this universe is "Alpha," starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari Wagh, and Bobby Deol. Originally scheduled to release in theaters on December 25th of this year, the film has now been postponed.
