Saurabh Shukla: Actor Saurabh Shukla recently opened up about the making of the film "Satya." He also shared some interesting anecdotes. Find out.
Bollywood star Saurabh Shukla is making headlines these days for his movie "Jolly LLB 3," where he performed outstandingly. The star talked about the 1998 movie "Satya," which was directed by Ram Gopal Varma. He clarified that "Satya" never planned to become a cult movie, but instead worked on filmmaking with full honesty. Let's see what he said.
Actor Saurabh Shukla participated in an interview with ANI. Here, he talked about the making of "Satya." He said, "I think the day you realize you're making a cult film, it won't ever be cult. If everyone wants to make a cult film, a great film, a successful film, and that's the focus, then you're not making a film. You're either making a successful film, or you're making a cult film, but you're not making a film."
Continuing, the actor said, "Let me tell you one thing: there are songs in Satya. Who is responsible for those songs? If anyone is to blame, it's us. We're guilty because at that time, Ram Gopal Varma said, 'I want to make a film without songs.' It was a film, and at that time, it was unimaginable." Saurabh Shukla further explained, "We thought we were getting a commercial director for the first time. I mean, he's giving us a chance. 'He's making it like an art film. How will we sell the film? Yes, we won't be able to sell the film.' So, we all convinced Ramu. Ramu never wanted songs in the film. Speaking of Saurabh Shukla's films, he was last seen in the Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi starrer "Jolly LLB 3".
