'SSMB 29' will be shot at this historical place, SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu made this plan

SS Rajamouli is all set to make a film with superstar Mahesh Babu. Currently, Rajamouli and his team are scouting for locations, a major part of which is planned to be shot in Kenya. Reports suggest that an important episode will also be shot at Borra Caves, Vizag, which is a popular tourist attraction. Rajamouli recently visited the site with his team.

A source associated with the production said that SS Rajamouli has scheduled about two weeks of shooting at Borra Caves. The film, promoted as an adventure thriller, will take place in several countries. KL Narayana will produce the project on a big budget, involving Hollywood studios for VFX.

Mahesh Babu is currently abroad and getting ready for the role. He will have a new look in his costliest film till date. The reported roping in of Priyanka Chopra to play the lead female role has also made headlines. If true, the move is being hailed as a masterstroke with Priyanka's global stardom being leveraged to give a global push to this big-ticket film.

Filming is expected to commence in the summer of 2025 and is reportedly scheduled to hit the theatres in 2027. In the project, Rajamouli's family will be actively involved. As his father Vijayendra Prasad has written the story, his brother MM Keeravani will compose the music. Rajamouli's son Karthikeya will take the role of line producer. Interestingly, the project will not feature cinematographer Senthil Kumar as usual. This has been in the news since the recent location hunt in Vizag created a buzz among fans, who have high expectations.
