The audience is awaiting the sequel of Ranveer Singh's superhit movie "Dhurandhar" - 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge.' However, now the trouble for the director Aditya Dhar's production company, B62 Studios, begins even before the release of the movie. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has planned to blacklist Aditya Dhar's production company. Following this, Aditya Dhar has been prohibited from seeking permission to shoot the movie 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' in Mumbai.
According to a copy of the FIR in the case, which is in the possession of Amar Ujala, Aditya Dhar's production banner, B62 Studios, has been barred from seeking permission to shoot "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" in Mumbai. This action was taken after the BMC suspected repeated violations of safety rules and conditions on the film's set.
The Deputy Municipal Commissioner (DMC) Zone 1 has approved the permission that was sought by the Municipal Corporation. This has resulted in a permanent ban for B62 Studios and its two other applicants from seeking permission for filming with the Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation Limited (BMC).
According to a BMC official, "Following the approval, the three applicants – Komal Pokhriyal, Nasir Khan, and B62 Production House – can no longer apply for shooting permissions on the Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation's website. We will issue notices to these three applicants on Tuesday, informing them of the action." A copy of the notice will also be shared with the Maharashtra Film Cell and the BMC's Business Cell head.
The municipal corporation has also proposed a fine of ₹1 lakh, citing allegations of filming on the rooftop of a building and operating two generator vans without the necessary permission. Additionally, officials have recommended the confiscation of a previously deposited deposit of ₹25,000. This development comes after repeated violations on film sets in A Ward, where officials first reported violations on February 7 and 8.

According to officials, the film set completely violated the police department's rules and regulations, which included a ban on the use of firecrackers and flammable materials. Following the incident, officials confiscated the deposit and issued a blacklisting warning. Despite this, another application was filed in the name of Komal Pokhriyal, seeking permission to shoot between February 13 and 14.
This request was initially rejected due to the violations reported by officials. A revised petition was subsequently submitted, this time seeking permission for late-night shooting between 12:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. on February 14th.
Officials further stated that the applicant assured officials that flammable materials would not be used, after which conditional permission was granted. The permission also came with certain conditions, including obtaining a no-objection certificate from the Mumbai Heritage Conservation Committee for setting up temporary structures within the Fort Heritage complex.
However, a senior official revealed that at around 12:45 a.m. on February 14th, complaints were received about the use of torches during the shooting. The official claimed that the Mumbai Police confiscated five torches lit during the shooting at that time.
In a letter to the Deputy Municipal Commissioner, the A Ward Office has sought final approval to impose a fine of ₹1 lakh, confiscate the security deposit, and permanently blacklist both the applicant and the production house.
"Dhurandhar: The Revenge," directed by Aditya Dhar, is a sequel to last year's "Dhurandhar." The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role, playing an Indian spy. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on March 19th. It will compete at the box office with Yash's "Toxic."
