Ajay Devgn Backs Sunny Deol’s ‘Border 2’, Calls It a Symbol of Courage and Patriotism

Bollywood film star Ajay Devgn is supporting Sunny Deol's upcoming film, "Border 2." He extended his best wishes to the team of "Border 2" through his social media account. The film is being released in theaters on today, 23rd January, 2026.

Actor Ajay Devgn took to his Instagram handle to share the poster of the upcoming film "Border 2." He wrote, "A film that celebrates the heroics of our soldiers and the mettle of our nation reminds us of who we are as Indians. 'Border 2' is the epitome of courage, sacrifice, and nationalism. Wish the team the best." He also tagged Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Bhushan Kumar, and Nidhi Dutta on the post.

According to media reports, the movie "Border 2" has earned quite well in advance bookings. So far, "Border 2" has booked approximately ₹9.4 crore worth of tickets, with nearly 300,000 tickets sold. This surpasses Ranveer Singh's "Dhurandhar," which had booked ₹9.2 crore.

The total budget of director Anurag Singh's "Border 2" is reportedly around ₹300 crore. Sunny Deol's fee is reported to be the highest, around ₹50 crore. Varun Dhawan is expected to receive ₹8-10 crore, and Diljit Dosanjh ₹4-5 crore.

The film "Border 2" is a patriotic war drama based on the 1971 India-Pakistan war. It stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in lead roles. The rest of the film's cast includes Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, and Medha Rana. Anurag Singh is the director of "Border 2." The film is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta.
