Anshula Kapoor considered herself responsible for her parents' divorce, said- 'After Janhvi was born...'

Anshula Kapoor is the daughter of director Boney Kapoor and his ex-wife Mona Shourie Kapoor. Recently, she left everyone stunned with a childhood revelation. She confessed that she once thought that she was the reason behind her parents' divorce. Interviewing with Pinkvilla, Anshula revealed how at a young age she blamed the dissolution of her family on herself.

Anshula told 'When I was six years old, I thought their life was going very well. Suddenly when I came into their life, I felt that after my arrival they could not live together. I felt that I was probably not a good daughter. I think it became more clear after Janhvi Kapoor was born. I know it's weird because I thought maybe there was something wrong with me.'

Although Anshula's parents assured her that their divorce was not her fault, Anshula Kapoor revealed that it was difficult to come to terms with it as a child. She said, 'I don't believe it now. But I was a child at that time. I was trying to figure out what went wrong and thinking maybe I was wrong. You can't imagine what impact it has on someone psychologically.'

Boney Kapoor married Mona Shourie in 1983 and has two children, Arjun and Anshula Kapoor. They separated in 1996 and the same year, Boney married actress Sridevi. Janhvi Kapoor was born in 1997, followed by Khushi Kapoor.

Anshula recently appeared on Amazon Prime Video's reality show The Traitors. Today she got engaged to her boyfriend Rohan Thakkar.
