Sanya Malhotra Reveals She Argued with a Director Over a Scene: 'Women Can't Be Shown Like That'

Sanya Malhotra is an actress who gained fame by starring in the blockbuster movie "Dangal" alongside Aamir Khan. Apart from being a good actress, she is also very daring when it comes to her dressing style. But recently, she made a shocking revelation. She claims to have quarreled with the director of the movie on a particular scene.

One should not be afraid to speak the truth, no matter the location. Sanya Malhotra, the actress of the films Dangal and Badhaai Ho, is one such person. She says, "I am working hard. I am living my dream. I wanted to become an actor, and I have become one. I am using my platform as an artist very effectively. I want to portray women in the right light on screen."

I want to empower myself and women by doing more films like Dangal and Mrs. and portraying them in the right light on screen. Once, I didn't like a scene on set. I had a fight with the director, saying it wouldn't look right on screen, and that women can't be portrayed that way. It often happens in Hindi cinema that directors include scenes that connect with audiences, even though there's no logic behind them.

The director told me, "You're very vocal." However, later, that scene was trolled, and I objected to it. I speak up about what I don't think is right.

An actor told me to do films that bring in audiences and money. I then gave him a long lecture. I said that if I had done that, my career would have taken a much better shape. I take my time choosing my projects.

Sanya Malhotra's upcoming film, titled "Sundar Poonam," will depict the romantic story of a Kashmiri couple. However, the film has yet to be officially announced.
