Government took a big decision, a special thing will be kept in mind while giving certification to films
Film Certification: On Saturday, the government has decided to give certification to films according to age. This will allow children to watch content according to the right age.

The December 1991 rules were amended through a gazette notification by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Rules and guidelines were established for the clearance of films for public display in this. As per the guidelines, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is empowered to issue certification to a movie with the categories of U/A7+, U/A12+, and U/A16+ based on the nature and type of film.
The recent notification states, 'Children of seven years or above or children below seven years of age will watch the right content only under the guidance of parents. When such films are given certification, they will be kept in the U/A 7+ rating. Children of thirteen years or more and children below thirteen years of age will watch the right content only under the guidance of their parents. When such a film is given certification, it will be given a U/A 13+ rating. Similarly, children of sixteen years or more, or children below sixteen years of age, will watch the right content only under the guidance of their parents. For this, a film will be given a U/A 16+ rating, and it will be kept in this category.
Last year, CBFC had improved and updated its certification system. This effort aimed to increase social value and to deliver age-appropriate content to the audience. CBFC also wanted to modernize the entire certification.
