‘Education Has Nothing to Do With It’: Rajpal Yadav Responds to Priyadarshan
Rajpal Yadav: Rajpal Yadav responded to director Priyadarshan's comment, in which he attributed the actor's education to the check bounce case. Find out what Rajpal said about Priyadarshan...
Rajpal Yadav is out on interim bail in the check bounce case. While he was out, he gave his comments on director Priyadarshan’s reaction, in which Priyadarshan linked the case to Yadav’s education. Yadav said it has nothing to do with his education. He also talked about Priyadarshan.
In an interview with Screen, Rajpal Yadav responded to Priyadarshan's comment, saying that his low education has nothing to do with it. It's completely wrong. I am an educated person. I worked from the age of 11 to 55. Even the biggest names sometimes face difficulties, but it has nothing to do with education. If I had less education, I wouldn't have been able to last 25-30 years in this industry. Previously, Priyadarshan had described Rajpal Yadav as a noble person, saying that his educational background was a mistake.
However, Rajpal Yadav maintains that he holds no bitterness over this comment. The actor said, "I have the utmost respect for three directors—Ram Gopal Varma, David Dhawan, and Priyadarshan."
I have done over 50 films with these three alone. I am like Priyanji's (Priyadarshan) son. But Priyanji or anyone else doesn't know the full story. Therefore, such judgments don't matter."
Rajpal Yadav dismissed the notion that he needs any special favors or sympathy from the industry. Regarding Sonu Sood offering him work, the actor said, "Please get over the misconception that I have to ask for work. There's no shame in asking for work, but cinema is my passion." I work in such a way that the work stays with me.
On the work front, Rajpal Yadav will soon be seen in "Bhoot Bangla" with Akshay Kumar. This film marks his reunion with Priyadarshan. He is also part of the large star cast of "Welcome to the Jungle."
Besides "Haiwaan," Rajpal Yadav also has two web series and two other films in the pipeline. He recently announced his debut on YouTube by launching his own channel.
