During the event, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about how he got the biggest opportunity of his life by playing the character of Lord Ram in the movie ‘Ramayana.’ When asked about his preparation for playing this character, Ranbir said, "I think my preparation began the day I watched Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayana'.

It's so deeply ingrained in our minds and so deeply embedded within us that we take immense pride in this story and Lord Rama's journey. When I got the opportunity to play this role, it definitely took a lot of preparation. Not just physical, but also emotional and spiritual preparation.

It's about understanding it and being completely honest. Lord Rama has been loved by billions of people around the world for centuries, and that love will continue even after we are gone. I have immense love and respect for this character and the story of Ramayana. So, when this feeling is ingrained in my heart, everything falls into place."

During the event, Ranbir Kapoor made a major revelation, revealing that he had previously turned down the role of 'Ramayana' and refused to play the role of Lord Rama. Recalling his hesitation, the actor said, "I remember when Namit offered me this role almost four years ago, my first reaction was 'no. I'm not fit for it, I'm not good enough, and I won't be able to do justice to it.'"

However, speaking about the coincidence of the film offer and the joy of becoming a father to daughter Raha, Ranbir said, "That fear quickly turned into gratitude because I needed such opportunities in my life. I was at a stage in my life where I needed to change my life and lifestyle. I became a father for the first time. I think this happy coincidence of playing Lord Ram and becoming a father proved to be a turning point in my life."
