Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor starrer 'Param Sundari' is always in the news. The film is all set for its release. But since the trailer of the film was released, 'Param Sundari' is being compared to Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's 'Chennai Express'. The concept and story of the film also appear to be on the same lines as 'Chennai Express'. Now, the lead actress of the film Janhvi Kapoor has reacted to this comparison.

During a conversation with Mirchi Plus, Janhvi reacted to the comparison of her film with Rohit Shetty's 'Chennai Express' and the similarities between the two, and expressed happiness over the comparison of her film with the blockbuster film. However, during this time, the actress clarified that both films are completely different from each other. She said, 'I like 'Chennai Express' very much. I think it is a good reference. I take it as a compliment. This film was released 10 years ago. Definitely, these two films are not the same. ' Along with this, Janhvi also urged people not to be unanimous about the characters of the South.

On describing both the films as similar, Janhvi said that 'Chennai Express' is a hit film. But Deepika has played the role of a Tamilian in the film. Whereas I am playing the role of a half-Tamil, half-Malayali girl. If you think about it, there is a generalization on the part of those who are comparing both films. I am from Kerala in the film, and all the people from the South cannot be put together. It is a completely different environment.

The actress further said that similarly, '2 States' was also a similar film, but it came after 'Chennai Express'. Such films do not release every year. The issue is that people are not comparing us with something that should be forgotten. 'Chennai Express' was a popular film, which had iconic characters and actors. Our film is completely different from that.

Directed by Tushar Jalota, 'Param Sundari' is scheduled to release in theatres on August 29. Advance booking of the film has started. It is a film based on the love story of a South girl and a Delhi boy.
