Rajnath Singh Inaugurates Postal Stamp Commemorating Rezang La Battle Featured in ‘120 Bahadur’
120 Bahadur Movie: The film '120 Bahadur' will be released this month. Prior to this, the makers of the film released a postage stamp honoring the bravery of the soldiers of the 13th Battalion, Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was also present on the occasion in the presence of Director General of Postal Services Jitendra Gupta.
Farhan Akhtar's '120 Bahadur' is based on the Battle of Rezang La. To commemorate the fighting spirit and valour of the soldiers of the 13th Battalion, Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army, the makers of '120 Bahadur' launched 'My Stamp' ahead of the release of the movie. The stamp was introduced in New Delhi to appreciate the sacrifice of the soldiers during the historic Battle of Rezang La.
Present at the stamp launch event were Director General of Postal Services Jitendra Gupta, director of the film "120 Bahadur" Rajneesh "Reji" Ghai, Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Amit Chandra, and Arhan Bagati. Together, they launched a customized "My Stamp" based on the Rezang La War Memorial issued by the Department of Posts.
Farhan Akhtar shared a post on his Instagram account. Sharing the photos, he wrote, "What better way to honor the bravery and sacrifice of our fallen soldiers? Today, the Indian Postal Service commemorates the Battle of Rezang La by releasing a new stamp. Thank you, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, for taking the time to inaugurate this event. We are deeply grateful."
The film will be released in theaters on November 21st. Directed by Rajneesh Ghai, the film is produced under the banners of Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios. Farhan Akhtar plays Major Shaitan Singh. Opposite him is Raashi Khanna, who plays his wife Shagun Kanwar.
