Palash Muchhal, the ex-fiancé of Smriti Mandhana, appears to be in big trouble once again. However, this time around, the problem does not concern Smriti Mandhana, but rather her friend. Get to know the reason for the filing of a case against Palash.
According to reports, a case has been filed against Palash Muchhal under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The complaint was filed by Vigyan Prakash Mane, a Sangli resident and reportedly a childhood friend of Smriti Mandhana.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred on November 22nd at a toll plaza on the Sangli-Ashta Road. Mane alleges that Palash Muchhal made caste-related remarks during the argument. Police have registered a case under Section 3(1) of the SC/ST Act and other sections. The investigation is currently underway.
According to reports, the matter involves a financial transaction. Police say that Palash Muchhal had borrowed 25 lakh rupees from Vigyan Mane for a film project. Mane later demanded his money back, leading to a dispute between the two.
Speaking to the media, Vigyan Mane said, "He told me that the film would be completed in six months, but that didn't happen. When I asked for my money back, he evaded me. When I confronted him about this, he used offensive language that I can't even repeat on camera. His behavior was very disturbing."
After this incident came to light, discussions are also being held about Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana's past relationship. The two were previously engaged and were scheduled to marry in Sangli in November 2025. However, the wedding was later cancelled, and the couple announced their separation on social media. The reason for the separation was not publicly disclosed.
Police officials have confirmed that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway. No further official information has been released at this time. As the case progresses, the legal process and responses from both parties will be closely monitored.
