Rio Raj’s Ram in Leela to Release Worldwide on August 21
Director Ramachandrran Kannan’s romantic Tamil film Ram in Leela, starring Rio Raj and debutante Varthika, will hit screens worldwide on August 21.
Chennai: The makers of director Ramachandrran Kannan’s upcoming romantic Tamil film Ram in Leela, starring Rio Raj and Varthika in the lead, on Thursday announced that the film will release worldwide on August 21.
Trident Arts, one of the production houses behind the project, shared the news on social media with the message: “Buckle up for the ultimate madness overload! Ram in Leela — In Cinemas Worldwide from AUGUST 21!”
The release-date announcement came a day after the makers unveiled the song “Seppu Sela.” The track has been sung by V.M. Mahalingam, with lyrics by Uma Devi and music by Ankit Menon.
Expectations around the film have been heightened by the recent success of two Rio Raj releases, Joe and Aan Paavam Polladhadhu. Actress Varthika will make her Tamil cinema debut with this project.
The story has been written by director Ramachandrran Kannan along with Aakash Poojith. Cinematography is by Mallik Arjun, and the music is composed by Ankit Menon. G. Durairaj handled art direction, while YNC Shiva is the editor. Dance choreography is by Abu and Chals, and stunts are by Abishek Srinivas.
Costumes have been designed by A. Keerthivasan. Sound design is by Arun S. Mani of Oli Sound Labs, with mixing by Vishnu Sujathan. VFX supervision is by Arunraj V.
Ram in Leela has been produced by R. Ravindran and Sudharsan under the banners of Trident Arts and EYWA Entertainments. Sanjay Vijayraghavan served as creative producer.
Positioned as a breezy romantic entertainer, the film heads into its theatrical release with attention focused on Rio Raj’s continued momentum and the introduction of a new face in Varthika. Audiences will get their first full look at the project when it opens in cinemas on August 21.
