Honey Irani, the mother of Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar, said many things about her son. She revealed when she first felt proud of him. Initially, she was unaware that Farhan was working on the script of his first film.

In a recent episode of the music reality show "Indian Idol," the producers shared a clip of Farhan, his mother Honey Irani, and his sister Zoya Akhtar. Honey Irani told Farhan, "I'm sorry we've never worked together. I mean, I've never worked for you, you've never worked for me. Maybe we'll work together in the future. I think I couldn't have asked for a better son." I'm really very, very, very, very proud of him.'

When the show host asked Honey about the moment she first felt proud of her son, she said, "When he came to me and said Aamir had said yes to my script. I didn't even know he was writing. So, that was a very proud moment for me."

Honey Irani was referring to Farhan Akhtar's directorial debut, "Dil Chahta Hai." Before writing the script for this film, Farhan was somewhat lost in life. However, "Dil Chahta Hai" was the film that finally found its footing. The film was released in 2001.
