While making statements about relationships during the launch function of her movie 'Maa Inti Bangaram' in Hyderabad, people started thinking that she might be talking about Sobhita Dhulipala.
Though Samantha did not mention Sobhita specifically, she mentioned while speaking on relationships that women should not think that their boyfriends will complete them.
Samantha said, "Your career and relationships are in your hands, but sometimes relationships become complex, and not everything is within your control. It takes two people to make a relationship work. I have learned that a woman should have faith in herself and be complete within herself."

She added, "You will certainly find the right person at the right time. However, if you look for someone thinking they will complete you, that isn't right. It raises expectations and can cause the relationship to deteriorate."
As soon as this video of Samantha went viral, people began linking it to Sobhita Dhulipala. Notably, in a 2024 wedding video, Sobhita had remarked that a person is incomplete and someone else comes along to complete them.
It is worth noting that Sobhita Dhulipala is married to Naga Chaitanya, who was previously married to Samantha. Samantha and Naga Chaitanya had announced the end of their marriage in 2021.
Meanwhile, Samantha married filmmaker Raj Nidimoru in December 2025. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony at the Linga Bhairavi Temple within the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. Reports now suggest that the couple is expecting their first child.
