Famous singer Ilaiyaraaja has issued a legal notice to the producers of the film 'Good Bad Ugly' for unauthorized use of his songs. Five crore rupees have been demanded by him as compensation. This notice has been issued through his lawyer to the production company Maithri Movie Makers.

Ilaiyaraaja said that three of his famous songs have been used in the film. These include 'Otha Rubaiyum Tharen...', 'En Jodi Manja Kuruvi...' and 'Ilamai Idho Idho...'. He has strongly opposed the use of these songs in the film without his permission. In the notice, Ilaiyaraaja has given the team seven days to remove these songs and tender an unconditional apology.

The film has several references to actor Ajith's previous films. Several scenes, dialogues, and photographs from his old films have been included. Ilaiyaraaja's song 'Ilamai Idho Idho...' is played during a fight scene. 'Otha Rubayum Tharen...' is used in several scenes including the introduction of villain Arjun Das.

This is not the first time Ilaiyaraaja has taken legal action. Last year, his song 'Kanmani Anbodu Kadhalan...' was used without permission in the Malayalam film 'Manjummel Boys'. He had then sent a notice as well. According to reports, the matter was settled with a compensation of Rs 60 lakh after the film's success.
