The film, which was announced in August 2021 by Farhan Akhtar, was a female-driven road trip featuring Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif. While fans waited for updates on the same, several reports claimed that it had been delayed owing to scheduling conflicts. Some even claimed that the film had been shelved.

But now, there's good news for the fans as Farhan Akhtar has given a big update. He has himself confirmed that Jee Le Zaraa is finally happening. Delays were caused by scheduling clashes and casting for male leads, Farhan said everything is finally settled.

According to media reports, the film "Jee Le Zaraa," starring Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif, is finally in production and back on track. The report states that coordinating dates for the three actresses was difficult, and Priyanka Chopra's global commitments were the biggest obstacle. However, she has now agreed to make time for the film. The scheduling of the three female leads wasn't the only problem. The report further states that Farhan and co-writers Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti had difficulty finding male co-stars who would be worthy of the three. They wanted three A-list actors alongside Katrina, Priyanka, and Alia, and this requirement further slowed things down. Farhan Akhtar confirmed that Jee Le Zaraa will begin production soon.

Over the past few years, a lot has changed in the personal lives of actresses. Katrina Kaif gave birth to a son in November of this year, while Alia Bhatt's daughter Rhea was born in 2022. Priyanka Chopra is also the mother of Malti Mary, who was born in 2022. According to reports, all personal matters have now been resolved, and production is finally back on track. Farhan Akhtar also confirmed that they will soon begin filming for Jee Le Zaraa. He said, "To be honest, it was very difficult to get the actors' dates. But we have everything sorted out. We will start soon."

Jee Le Zaraa is being described as a road-trip film similar to the hit film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, starring Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, and Farhan Akhtar.
