Mumbai: Actress Priyanka Chopra has shared a personal video in which she is seen teaching her daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, mantras from the Durga Saptashati.

In the Instagram post, Chopra noted that she has two personalities—“Mama” and “Mamacita.” The first part of the clip shows her holding Malti in her arms and guiding the child through the recitation of the mantras. In a contrasting segment, she appears in a different setting, dancing energetically in a striking outfit, illustrating the other side of her public and personal life.

Chopra married musician Nick Jonas in 2018 at a ceremony held at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The couple welcomed their daughter Malti on 15 January 2022 through surrogacy. Since then, they have periodically shared glimpses of family life on social media.

In July, Chopra posted a photograph of Malti spending time with her grandmother, Dr Madhu Chopra. The image showed the elder Chopra holding the child’s hand as they walked by a poolside. Malti was dressed in a bright pink top and white trousers. The post was captioned “Reunited...” and tagged Dr Madhu Chopra.

In another story, Chopra shared a moment of Malti seated in front of a television, watching her mother’s song “Tune Maari Entriyaan” from the film Gunday. She captioned the full-circle moment “Who would’ve thought?” and tagged Nick Jonas.

The latest video of the mantra session continues Chopra’s pattern of offering selective, affectionate windows into her role as a mother while balancing her professional identity. By pairing the quiet teaching moment with a more performative dance clip under the “Mama and Mamacita” framing, she highlighted the different facets of her daily life.

The posts reflect an ongoing effort to document ordinary and meaningful family interactions—spiritual practice, time with grandparents, and the child encountering her mother’s earlier work—alongside her public career. Fans and followers have responded to these glimpses as extensions of the personal narrative Chopra has shared since becoming a parent.
